Has anyone ever told you, 'You get what you pay for'?

Well, this holds true especially for musicians. The players in this quartet have spent years perfecting their art. This adds up to hours and hours and hours, past and present, practicing various techniques and styles of music. All of them perform around the Virginia Beach area for the joy of sharing beautiful music in settings other than this group.

The Atlantic Aire String Quartet is unlike other inexpensive groups that probably have had very little practice time and far less experience performing. Do you want that for your once-in-a-lifetime event?

  • Payment

    A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 must accompany the following contract in order to secure your date. You may pay your full balance at any time, but the final balance will be due after the event has concluded. We will accept cash or check and will provide you with a final invoice approximately one month before your event reflecting your deposit and the balance owing.

    Atlantic Aire String Quartet payments may be made in the form of a check payable to Catherine Yarberry. Please note that bounced checks will result in an additional fee of $35 per bounced check.


  • Outdoors

    We love to play indoors and outdoors, but our instruments do not like extreme temperatures (below 60°F). We cannot play in direct sunlight, rain, snow, or mist. We need to be under shelter (ex. gazebo, tent, etc., which should be set up for us).

  • Travel

    We are happy to accommodate weddings or receptions outside of Virginia Beach city limits. Call us for a quote.

  • Space

    We require a space of 8’ x 8’. This enables us to provide you with the best possible performance. The space also needs to be free of any pedestrian traffic.

  • Breaks

    We will play for 50 minutes, and then take a 10-minute break for every booking over one hour. If the wedding exceeds 75 minutes, there will be an additional fee.

  • Repertoire

    There is a repertoire list/playlist on the right side of this page. If you want something not on the list, we charge a $25 service fee to purchase sheet music or arrange our own rendition.

  • Rehearsal

    The quartet will send a representative to the rehearsal who would anticipate the length of the wedding processionals and find out about any last-minute changes. If the bride and groom want the entire quartet to be there, we require a 24-hour notice prior to the rehearsal, and there will be an additional fee.

  • Equipment & Lighting

    We need four chairs with no arms and adequate lighting to read our music.

  • Cancellation

    We require two weeks’ notice of cancellation. Failure to notify of cancellation prior to two (2) weeks will result in forfeiture of fees paid.

Entire Quartet to Attend Rehearsal for an additional fee $60
